Termination of housing and usage of the old hospital.
Longyearbyen lokalstyre concluded yesterday, 18.2.2016, that the old hospital was no longer safe to live in, and all residents had to move out, immediately.
The decision was made based on a technical evaluation of the building, conducted by Multiconsult on behalf of the owners. Lokalstyre made temporary accommodation available for all residents throughout week 9, of which 12 accepted. Lokalstyre will assist the owners with the planning of vacating the building.
